Sasuke spoilerific review ;) Warning.. incoming blog of Sasuke 27.. if you don’t want to know.. you have been warned :D (Just remember.. the USA Broadcast of this.. will be.. well.. March, 2012.. Yes.. you read that right.. another 5 months after taping this event back in July... Thanks to everyone for being so patient. Got sick with headaches again this year and am still recovering from an inner ear infection.. yum.. Anyway.. For a preview of this event.. While the title of tonight's show is SASUKE 2011 Fall, the show was taped way back in July of this year. The 18th to be exact. At the time Japan was still reeling (and still is in many ways) from the effects of the Tohoku disaster. On the 17th of that month Nadeshiko Japan, Japan's national women's soccer team, shocked the United States to take the Women's World Cup. It was widely seen as a big pick-me up for Japan. Will SASUKE do the same?

and the agony of defeat.. this also from 3rd stage of Sasuke 24.. one of the more painful ones for me.. All-Star Toshihiro Takeda 竹田敏浩

ouch.. still painful to watch.. All-Star Bunpei Shiratori 白鳥文平 failing in the 2nd stage of Sasuke 14

and just to remind G4 that there WAS AN AMERICAN IN THE FINAL.. uhm.. anyway.. sorry.. just had to point out that the Californian born and raised Kane Kosugi ケイン・コスギ lost the Final in an epic rain-soaked Sasuke 8

In Sasuke history there has been only 3 people to have ever achieved KANZENSEIHA 完全制覇 (complete domination)

For those who are new.. here's your first winner, All-Star Kazuhiko Akiyama 秋山 和彦 This was televised in October, 1999 during Sasuke 4

Then in October, 2006 during Sasuke 17 we crowned Allstar - Makoto Nagano 長野誠

Then in January, 2010 during Sasuke 24 we crowned the Leader of the New Stars Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 (or for me (Cliffer #3) the latest winner

and not even a minute into our program.. dude.. there is a 4th Kanzenseiha.... yep.. they said it.. dude.. that's a total spoiler.. I just work here folks..

anyway we see the snail thing is back and still spitting out people

and the Cannonball Run from Viking ehem.. er.. Spin Bridge.. eated someone

I see Wakky is utterly enjoying himself!

Oh and someone in the 3rd stage got pwned by the Flying bar...

and G4 is trying to take over the world .. one tenth of a percent of a rating at a time...

we've sold the heavily bastardized version of Ninja Warrior with deleted results to 153 countries and counting!

And we've gotten 2 countries and our own to do trials! (USA top left, Japan top right and Malaysia bottom)

Here cometh the Americans!

Where Nagano went and got to the meet the Prime Minister (cough read Navi)!

and we found out Superman can't fly..

but we did find out Cats can!

sorry.. I love this final.. I know it's a miniature version of the original.. but I still love the Sasuke 17 final... give me a moment..

anyway, Cat purred into the final and won a spot to Sasuke 27!

because Nagano squinting in the sunlight is still friggin' awesome..

and he got to travel and the spread the Sasuke gospel to the youth of Malaysia

and pose with die-hard fans!

where he met fans with 2 other people including someone who won as well but we won't show that because we are TBS..

and that concludes "Nagano - Sasuke Ambassador trip around the world!"

aaaah so they DO put your number on your pass as well.. interesting.. btw.. guest pass is green this tourney... he's relegated to the bleachers :p

Btw I got a translation for what the Kanji means:
魂：meaning spirit or soul, so his back is meant to read "The spirit of Sasuke or the soul of Sasuke"

something must have made people jump for joy!

while Nagano is strangely unaffected and looking hawt..

Here we go (again as we saw some runs in Navi) as the cute TBS Boo is holding a heart

The first stage is 130 meters long and the time limit is 125 seconds

and.. wtf.. why am I hearing a song I know.. but.. it's from a Finalist...

Yeah I'm talking to you.. I'm a Triple Ranger now so show some respect!

Hope his shoulder is better.. he had a pretty good ice pack.. wait.. I saw into the future in Shinya's run.. crap.. was that .. oh oh.. I don't feel so good about this run..

GET ON WITH IT!

Nice deep breath.. starting off the show.. position of honor.. no pressure.. about to find out if his brain is doing better.. he usually doesn't do so hot with pressure..

Off we go! Here is the first obstacle the ① Step Slider ステップスライダー

and he's across already.. yuck the water already looks like vomit? /shudders

onwards to what ate him last year..

and we know they moved this obstacle from the previous location.. ② Rolling Escargot ローリングエスカルゴ

He's been training like a fiend on this very obstacle as he sets himself to redeem himself

Gripping on as hard as he can.. he .. will.. not.. go.. down.. this.. year..

Phew.. sorry just not used to seeing him this early.. that 1 is reaaaally throwing me off! LOL

and the crowd including 内藤大助 Daisuke Naito (Former WBC Flyweight Champion) is happy!

and wait.. I just noticed the face icon on the bottom left.. LOL New graphic! Looks cool! Thumbs up TBS!

sorry got distracted. He uses the springboard on the next obstacle which is new.. this is the modified version of the ③ *Giant Swing ジャイアントスイング which of course is identical to something Supersheep designed for Sim Sasuke.. just saying..

and being a gymnast he is expecting the drop and adjust accordingly (sorry still remembering a fail in the Sasuke Navi broadcast)

and not a problem!

remember... even though they showed it in Navi this is the first time they see a competitor on this obstacle..

so each of them are looking on intently as to the strategy for later!

Now.. ④ *Jumping Spider ジャンピングスパイダー

taking his time and taking deep breaths and concentrating. He's already doing a hell of a lot better than in the past where he'd rush things only to get flustered

clearing Nagano's graveyard nicely.. (yes.. that's what I call it)

Hey TBS.. you built the black HPA for Malaysia.. paint yours here.. because that looked pretty friggin' sweeeeeeeeet!

ehem.. Kanno ignoring me and concentrating as he gets set for the next obstacle - the modified ⑤ *Half-Pipe Attack ハーフパイプアタック that broke Drew's leg because of the landing (yes spoiler but TBS isn't showing it anyway)...

and.. GERONIMO.. he swings WILDLY over the wooden platform

and TOTALLY overshoots the landing..

so he swings back and pushes off for another try

cool overhead shot..

and.. SQUEEEEEEEAK.. he finally lands as he tries not to Shingo his way into the water....

okay he got past the log as TBS cut to reaction shots of the celebs they are pushing.. LOL anyway.. ⑥ Soritatsu Kabe そり立つ壁 or Warped Wall to most western viewers

and while I hate when they stop at the bottom to think about things.. he got up the wall on the first shot! Definitely a better thinking Kanno this time!

and TBS cutting again to the money-shot!

speaking of money.. TBS is giving facetime to the Sponsors they managed to get while Nagano is cheesing and Yamada is looking at the clock

Now Lee is with the program and it's Nagano's turn to look at the clock

and.. WHAT?? He's doing what??? HE FELL? That's how he hurt his shoulder and had an ice pack during Shinya's run?

You know there's something in the water in Japan if they can come up with a commercial for a giant.. chick.. plushy.. going to school.. wtf are they selling???? Acid is in their water supply.. I'm convinced..

anyway TBS decided to bring back the "Cannonball Run" from Viking and rename it ⑦ ^Spin Bridge スピンブリッジ

and he runs across and FALLS!!!!!!

no wait.. he's not off the course.. or is he??

omg he's doing everything he can to not touch anything outside so he won't get disqualified!

Lucky bastard got his leg caught on one of the ropes and kept his momentum from throwing him off the side! See? Those things should NOT be made of metal despite what the boards say!

Kanno that one lucky bastard survives the Spin Bridge!

and he's got plenty of time!

Nagano can't help but smile at that miraculous save as Kinnikun seems to be losing his marbles

Cat doesn't know what he's looking at.. it's okay Cat it's your first time.. you get used to it!

anyway.. Kanno gets on the 2nd to last obstacle (yes.. TBS breaks this apart into 2 different obstacle names) ⑧ Tarzan Rope ターザンロープ

and he doesn't swan-dive but he does catch the net really low..

and doing his climb up the ⑨ Rope Ladder ロープラダー which I have a bad tendency to call Rope Wall. LOL

C'mon.. speed it up.. you can do it..

Plenty of time left as he slowly walks across the bridge

and gently taps on the red button to stop the timer

Hitoshi Kanno 菅野仁志 - FIRST STAGE CLEAR!

What makes this friggin' awesome is the fact that we haven't had a First Stage clear from anyone with a #1 saddlecloth since Koji Yamada 山田 康司 (and for the love of everything holy his name is not Yasushi) did it way back in Sasuke 12!! That was 8 YEARS ago!

and there was much rejoicing..

and .. they just gave Nagano his number? Oh well LOL he does have several hours to go

Nagano and Lee cheer on Kanno's first stage clear!

Will Kanno's triumph signal to the rest of the competitors to seize the moment and follow him to Stage 2?

I assume TBS telling Nagano that it's okay now since Kanno did it and he sucked Nagano can do it since he sucked too!

LOL Lee seems to find it funny too even if he doesn't know wtf is being discussed!

Kinnikun is liking his chances now.. that raises the level of confidence for everyone in the field

even this guy who doesn't have a chance in hell.. LOL
