Sasuke spoilerific review ;) Warning.. incoming blog of Sasuke 27.. if you don’t want to know.. you have been warned :D (Just remember.. the USA Broadcast of this.. will be.. well.. March, 2012.. Yes.. you read that right.. another 5 months after taping this event back in July... Thanks to everyone for being so patient. Got sick with headaches again this year and am still recovering from an inner ear infection.. yum.. Anyway.. For a preview of this event.. UBE'S Sorta-LIVE-BLOG FOR SASUKE 27 IS HERE !

With David making it 25 clears now.. we are up to our final 2 for the first stage!

We all know he's a shoe salesman for Haruta Shoes in Tokyo

and over the years he's gone to various events to get autographs of his favorite Sasuke compeitors like Shunsuke Nagasaki (top), Katsumi Yamada (left) and Makoto Nagano (right)

The famous "Yamada diss" from an episode from Sasuke Maniac back in June, 2008 where they covered the BUG IN MIKI festival

Since then he's been wearing the #100 saddlecloth.. a.. very.. heavy number. This from Sasuke 25

where he inexplicably failed in the most unusual way on the Double Salmon Ladder

Then, looking flustered and out of sorts.. he failed again in a peculiar way in Sasuke 26

it was evident to him that he was not coping with the pressure of the #100 saddlecloth well

one of the reasons also was dizziness.. something that he has been trying to overcome

he does cartwheels over and over to try to mimic being dizzy from being spun around and around

especially from the Rolling Escargot

I feel bad.. because TBS is not making this easy by perpetuating the Yamada invented rumor that he cheated to win in 24 when obviously he didn't. Had it been illegal not only had he been stripped of the title.. all 5 of the competitors would have been nullified since they all wore the same footwear

Not sure what Takeda was talking about though

but there's the announcer in the background talking about America, Japan and how Nagano can make it 27 for 27

Poor guy... he really doesn't like #100 But no one else wears it like he does.. that's for sure ;)

For those who haven't figured it out.. Nagano just lost his father. This was Yasuke Nagano (pronounced just like Sasuke just replacing the letter S with Y so it was Yas'keh)

Strange seeing this footage now as Nagano came into Sasuke 10 with an air of cockiness

again he brought the family. Something he had been doing since Sasuke 7.

This included his Father Yasuke who also made the trip from Miyazaki prefecture just to cheer his son

but.. we remember what happened in that Sasuke..

Though he proved he did have a sense of humor (and yes those are Nagano's sons next to Grandad)

Paying their respects at the family shrine, Makoto brings his wife Asami 阿紗美 and and their baby boy Kaiou 塊王 to remember him

remembering the man whom he followed in his footsteps and also became a fisherman

now in the present we preside over the Caning Ritual™ and after a tournament absence.. we get Father Takeda to do the honors..
