Not liking the hair..

He is a finalist from Sasuke 23 who was nowhere near the top..

Yeah I'm still not digging the hair.. LOL

And I'm still miffed he refuses to get a real job after he graduated from College until he wins Sasuke.. /sigh.. slacker.. Anyway now he makes a little money after hours cleaning Pachinko Bars.

Because every Sasuke fan should have a cliffhanger replica in their room!

Sasuke 25 he crashed and burned in the biggest choke this side of Takeda... wait.. that didnt' sound right.. at least Takeda chokes during the 3rd stage.. wait.. Kanno did too.. oh that's not good..

Anyway.. Kanno realizes that he needs to be mentally tougher to survive the pressure of being part of the New Stars (He was 99 in Sasuke 24 and crumbled under the pressure of the expectations of that saddlecloth) so he got Mental Health Self Help Books.

Hey check it out he wears glasses. Nice frames.

Our buddy has been going to Sasuke from the beginning and this is one of his 3rd stage completions back in Sasuke 7.

Sasuke 23 was the first time in a long time that he actually passed the first stage again!

When we first met Shingo he was just a Gasoline Station Arubaito アルバイト (which means Part-timer) or what we call Gas Jockeys

Then progressed to Store Manager (Tencho 店長)

Now progressed in his field all the way to Area Manager エリアマネージャー

During the last tournament he timed out at the end of the first stage (damn hat..)

Which Shingo will show up today!? (LOL I have no idea wtf that means)

with ants in his pants and jittering like he is high on caffeine and sugar...

Not a good start.. the course is all muddy and broken by now.. he's slipping on the Dome Steps..

LMFAO.. he's hanging on to this thing like his life depends on it! (remember he did fail this before in Sasuke 6)

Success on the Jump Hang... if not a bit painful looking.. (P.S. Hat still on..)

LOL He's tucking his feet in really tight so he doesn't "Shingo" his feet into the water (Sasuke 16 iirc)..

He is sooooo not taking chances.. LOL

And really scream here as he jerks forward.. Seems if you don't hit is Juuuust right it kinda sticks then jerks forward.

LOL this is a little hard to see so I put 2 pics of this in a row.

He's wiping crud out of his hands on the pipe before he gets to the Tarzan Rope! Seems the course is uber muddy right now.

Plenty of time before he gets to the Rope Ladder..

Which is good because IMO this is his worst obstacle for him.. he looses a lot of time on this sucker. (Like Ube says.. If anyone can fail this, Shingo can) LOL

Knowing he's secured.. he's celebrating before he gets there. You hear a yell around here.

Let the celebration begin! That's 2/2 on All-Stars so far!

90 done and 10 clears! We got double digits ya'll

Shingo's got a big group supporting him today.. Yay!

Wife Eiko 英子 is ecstatic!

It's nice seeing his family there cheering for him.

LOL Yuuji has a migraine and Koji is not sure what to do with this development. Kenji doesn't care he's happy :)

Here's the Shingo Whiplash (as Ube calls it)

Here is when his brain kicks in and says "OMG NOT THE WATER" and his brain jacked up those legs as fast as it could.. LOL

Then he proceeds to tangle his legs THROUGH the rope..

Squeeeak.. but he did it!!

Then as if the stupid circle had a stopper you hear Shingo scream as it jerked to a stop

Then it let go and he almost fell off.. LOL

But he persevered and he's back in the 2nd stage!

Omg that was an ugly clear.. I swear.. wtf is wrong with me.. Why do I give myself a heart attack? LOL

True story Btw.. A friend of mine told me that the announcer mentioned when he finished the first stage that this is the first time he cleared the first stage with his HAT ON (and no lie.. I wasn't kidding.. that is what the announcer said.. LMFAO!!) Hubby says.. "you are welcome" :D

It was actually typical Shingo - gritty, losing a couple body parts, scrappy, wtf and nail biting.. LOL

For those with good memories .. we saw him briefly in Sasuke Trials during one of my very early blogs - Summer, 2008 for Sasuke 21 - He was in the group that represented the All-Stars - his was Bunpei

.. and lost at the .. Circle.. Slider (oh oh.. not good..)

Poor guy was also in the Sasuke 22 Trials where he got to the final only to miss the final jump!

He recently got married (zomg gorgeous bride! I love everything she's wearing!)

And props to him for getting All-Star Bunpei Shiratori 白鳥文平 to give a toast to him!
