Next we have Okuyama one of our finalists from Sasuke 24
Who trains everywhere he can!
He's barefoot too!
TBS Suckitude Chart™ update - X gets the square. We start to suck right off the bat!
And a deep breath..
We start with the Roulette Cylinder
Taking his time on it to make sure he's got it as far as he can closer to the next obstacle
He's having a little trouble connecting with the Doorknob Grasper but he finally gets it
He's starting to swing on the first doorknob
But then stops and goes back to the Roulette Cylinder to readjust!
Okay onwards he goes!
Clapping from Brian and Lee as they are transfixed
And the spray must be coooooooold on his feet LOL
Onwards to the doors.. er.. Floating Boards
He's having all kinds of trouble..
LOL Takeda smirk™
They seem to be cheering him on now as they realize he's slipping!
Lots of cheering in the background as well as they are willing him to get past the floating boards
LOL Nagano yelling support .. almost busting a blood vessel in his neck!
Okuyama slipping on the board but finally getting a grip
Phew... barely but he made it past the obstacle
Okuyama is .. freezing...
He's trying desperately to warm up his frozen fingers
Finally after a while he gets on the UCH
But first.. this cat commercial...
Back at the UCH.. he's struggling to hang on to the ledge..
And that quickly he just drops off
And plunges into the water.. aaaaaawwww he was so cold!
Lee reacting to the fall
Koji with nervous giggles.. he's next...
I think he's starting to panic.. LOL
Geez.. these guys are going to have hypothermia.. he got out of that water like a bat out of hell...
Still shivering Okuyama still trying to analyze the UCH.
Not sure what they are talking about obviously :p but that thing is.. massive..
Whatever Okuyama is saying you see Yuuji nodding his head in agreement
Nagano seems to be doing the same
Not sure what he's saying but I see Akiyama is still there
Okuyama family - Wife Sachiko, daughter Lilia and son Takaya
Here's a better angle of when Okuyama almost fell off the Floating boards
On the transition he had to hang on with nothing but his knees!!
Here's the attempt on the UCH
He just couldn't hang on
Here he starts to slip
And gravity took over
He immediately puts on his coat even though he's soaked and wet.
All-Stars asking Kenji what the angle is on the ledge
Kenji explaining the lack of clearance
So Takeda readjusts to see how little room you have to work with
Koji nervous giggling...
And Brian wishing Lee good luck. They've been smiling at each other all day.
Next up is Koji
Who got that close to the top of Sasuke 24!
TBS Suckitude Chart™ update - Still sucking
Collecting his thoughts before he goes up the steps
btw he's barefoot too!
Btw.. Parents names: mother is Chihoko 千歩子 and father Hiroyuki 広
Overhead view of him on the Roulette Cylinder
Having no issues on the Doorknob Grasper
LOL Yuuji and Kanno's faces
His fingers are freezing too...
Testing his grip on the Floating Board
He's also doing it similarly though he's a bit higher giving himself a little more room to move
Apparently barefoot is allowing all of them to grasp onto the board
And clear on the Floating Board
Now the preparation for the UCH..
Makes it across the first ledge...
Makes it across the 2nd ledge...
about to try for the 3rd ledge...
and.. of course.. the commercial shot so no surprise there
He seems so frustrated with himself
Yuuji yelling as Kanno smiles
He's most likely thinking the exact same thing I am...
He HAD it. he got impatient and didn't go all the way up the 2nd ledge..
Yuuji's reaaally animated about Koji's fail
Seems Koji is frustrated with himself.. maybe he's thinking NOW the same thing?
Lee is starting to fall apart. he's burying his face in his hands
Brian starts to take of the 17 layers of clothes he has on... LOL
Replay of the hand holds on the Roulette Cylinder
And his calm and slow approach to the Floating Boards
He seemed to be just fine going up the 1st to the 2nd ledge
Yeah.. it would have definitely benefited him to go a foot more to the left.
and the long drop down...
LOL Koji still cheesingKoji Hashimoto
橋本亘司 - Death by Ultimate Cliffhanger
Dammit.. I screwed up...
Koji actually giving a speech that made his parents proud
They applaud his efforts (so do I!)
Takeda smirk™ we love it!
Agreed about the floating boards...agreed, it's friggin doors!
We have the doorknobs, than the doors, than the doorframes (Cliff)...what next? Doormat grasper? LOL.
"Brian starts to take of the 17 layers of clothes he has on... LOL"
Mwahhahhahha Eskimo Brian! Btw I found cute the Brian&Lee shots. Great Minds Think Alike...but in different languages lol.
I was freezing watching them fall in the water.. and worse when you look at how many layers they all had on.. Takeda literally had like 5 layers.. Nagano around 4.. Brian was like 5. LOL
So was it kinda symbolic that this was recorded during the Winter Olympics? LOL
Koji most likely could have made it up to the ledge if he had moved all the way to the left. Look how close he was even with the gap.
Maybe next time...which I probably won't see. Stupid boot camp.
I noticed all of the guys going barefoot. I guess that's so they can grip the Floating Boards with their feet. I wonder if that's required (like wearing gloves for the Chain Reaction) or just strongly recommended.
