Sasuke 25 - Spoilerific Review - Part 10

Sasuke spoilerific review ;) Warning.. incoming blog of Sasuke 25.. if you don’t want to know.. you have been warned :D For a preview of this event.. Please see SASUKE 25 NAVI 1 hour review of Sasuke 25 with fluff pieces of all the major players in the upcoming Sasuke!). Oh.. and as Ube says: If you are from the G4 Forums, DON'T POST THIS THERE. They expect everyone to stick their head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist..

Massive thanks to Ube for his help on the names in English and Japanese of all the competitors!! Thanks to scnoi and Sasukepedia and the SASUKE データサイト (Data site) for the kanji.

I would assume they are talking about how much pressure are you feeling with they #100 since you complained about it being heavy having 99 :p

He seems perturbed...
Yuuji: wtf man...

Asakusa 浅草in Tokyo 東京

Home of Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 (UNCLI #3) - Shoe salesman for the Haruta Shoes

Who in the previous tournament became only the 3rd Champion of Sasuke in 13 years (Sasuke 24 Kanzenseiha)

In Navi we found out that this is Yuuji and his late father. Apparently his father passed away from a battle with cancer when Yuuji was 7 years old.

Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 lives and supports his Mother in his father's absence. Her name is Takako 孝子(thanks David K. for translation)

(btw.. they have a cat :p I want to see the cat! I see the tower.. but not the cat.. I want to see the cat!.. LOL)

More Navi video of him training

Sorry I'm still pissed how little information we got on our latest champion. Nagano got a friggin' special in Sasuke 17 and all TBS aimed at with their lack of advertising was his .. shoes?? /facepalm..

Anyway.. they are showing how much he trains for this (btw he's wearing sneakers here for all of you stupid enough to think he won because of the SAME SHOES that 3 other people in the final were wearing.. ) sorry.. digressing badly aren't I?

Yuuji's so over it :p

I still want to see the cat..

At least he earned his right to wear 100.

And they didn't make him run a stupid marathon for it either.. LOL

Yuuji is still a little worried.. Akiyama and Nagano both failed before him as the previous champions..

99 have gone and 10 have cleared!

Yuuji deep in thought as they do a long intro to one of the coolest songs ever

Well Yuuji.. you wanted to find out how it was to be 100...

Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 - Shoe salesman (UNCLI #3)
3rd KANZENSEIHA!!!! (Sasuke 24)

Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 - Representing Tokyo 東京

Yuuji's getting a really nice ovation from what's left of the crowd

So I wonder if the days of him wearing UNCLI shirts is now officially gone?

Anyway onwards to the Rolling Log. An obstacle that's new to him

He.. corkscrewed it.. LOL I think he spun that sucker the fastest..

Awwwww he's reaaaaally dizzy.. (I think I would have hurled.. LOL)

OMG I haven't seen anyone that dizzy..

Hard to show in static pics..

But his head is literally going from side to side here....

He finally jumps and prays for the best..

Actually not bad considering how dizzy he is..

No problems on the Bridge Jump

Wow... one of the rare times TBS actually did this all day.

Clear on the Warped Wall

All-Stars watching intently as Yuuji sets up for the Circle Slider

Shingo seems to be living the moment..

LOL Takeda is cracking me up!!! Dude does not own a poker face...

Awww.. Nagano looks like a wet dog!

LMFAO look at his hair!!!!!!!! ahahahahahhahaha

bwahahahah sorry.. (chuckle snort..) he's looking at Yuuji set up for the Circle Slider.. (giggles..)

At least TBS wasn't being a jerk by stopping the run mid jump...

Yes yes.. Vitamin water..

He knows this sucker just took out Nagano and took out 4 of his STQ friends including fellow UNCLI #2...

He starts his run..

Full extension (nice job!)

With plenty of time he gets to the Tarzan Rope

And starts low on the rope ladder

Celebrating as he knows he cleared it!

Stops the clock

And he clears! That makes 11 folks!

LOL the timing of that was perfect.. it seemed to have raised the yellow "doors"

All 100 have run in the first stage and we have 11 clears!

Urushihara 漆原 + Kanzenseiha 完全制覇

Fellow STQ'ers and Friends celebrate :)

Fellow Finalist celebrate

And Koji almost sucker punches Kenji with his celebration LOL

Last few seconds of the rope climb

Shingo leading the applause and nodding of approval

Takeda still a little upset about Nagano but acknowledges the clear

LOL did something just fly into Shingo or something? He seems to have choked on something..

LOL is he blowing snot out of his nose???

Poor Nagano looks like a drown dog..

LOL he's choking too.. maybe still some mud up his nose?

Back to the Yuuji Celebration

And the sheer relief!

Going back to the rolling log.. He sped WAY up at the bottom...

I thought he was going to pass out... or fall backwards here..

now I added the pic at the top to show the state of which he finished this thing..

He could barely concentrate he was so dizzy..

and still managed to jump the Jump Hang

And here he is on the Circle Slider

(cough.. fully extended legs. cough)

He actually didn't have that much height but because he had perfect form he was afforded the opportunity to grab the ring

and one of the more smoother runs down the slide all day..

A happy camper knowing he passed

I'm sure he won't be in any hurry to be 100 again.. LOL

Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 - Stage 1 Clear!

LOL he really is relieved :)

Stage 2 coming up folks!

Great job covering the newest champion's run!

And I don't mind you digressing about the shoes. Seriously, knocking his success just because he was smart enough to change shoes is a slap in the face to the strength needed to do all the stages with that tight of a limit at the end on time.

Also, I somehow missed how dizzy Yuuji was at the end of the Rolling Log. That was actually pretty funny, seeing a strong competitor like him get so shaken up by that early of an obstacle. If he had failed, I wouldn't find it as amusing, but he didn't, therefore it was funny. I think Yuuji is closer to Nagano than Akiyama when it comes to the skill levels of the champions, shoes or no.

Okay, I missed out on most of the Finals Shoes controversy but I do recall him wearing "original" footwear. What he did was take a pair of tabi (for better grip) and a pair of rubber boots (to protect his legs) and got them sewn together.

Can there seriously be people stupid/jealous enough to think Sasuke can be won based on footwear!?!

Do these people then think it's unfair for people to build their own sets and practice at home?

Yuji Urushihara is an awesome champion.

LOL yeah I was still shocked by Nagano's run but didn't miss Dizzy Yuuji. That was hilarious... I'm glad he passed, tho, or it would have been like a nightmare for him. Especially with that dumb shoes controversy...even IF it was thanks to the shoes that he won, so WHAT? He was smart.

LMFAO @ Nagano looking like a dog...I did miss that, but looking at those pics I realized it mwahhaha. His hair...priceless! Tho he was still shocked.
I can understand why Takeda looked so apathetic, hehe. Must have been very bad to see Nagano failing, especially if he had told him before 'bout his worries about the Circle Slider, which I'm quite sure he did.
It's his buddy, after all; we all know that.

I spit out my lemonade when I saw Nagano's hair:)

LOL Snowy I was cracking up :)

Yeah Arty I was thinking the same thing about Takeda.. then again.. he might have ALSO thought that he expected Shingo to fail leaving HIM as the Last All-Star.. again..

Oh thanks chaki! I didn't know that.. still... the rubber was on his .. legs.. oh /sigh.. I still think whoever complained was pissed an All-Star (namely Takeda at that point) didn't make it to the final and win. That's my take on it. I'm still Pissed that TBS decided to try to work that story in there when clearly he was NOT at fault. They basically created their own controversy out of nothing.

LOL Bob I knew a lot of people missed HOW dizzy he was so I had Rider make that .gif for me to show it in real time. Still though. Even Nagano mentioned (in the interview intermixed here with the blogs) that HE was dizzy after that since this was the fastest Rolling Log they've created.
