Ahahahaha Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 actually told Nagano "Aww man.. #99 is really heavy!!" (meaning the pressure of being 99 is daunting)

Both Shingo and Nagano (who have been that number) find it hysterical...

Nagano retorts with basically "HA! Try being 100!!".. as he pats the #100 saddlecloth attached to his leg. Aahahahahhaah I love Nagano.

Poor Yuuji got not comfort :p He's all sheepish now. Nagano's still laughing.

Yuuji got that number by virtue of him being the finalist of Sasuke 22.

Aahahhah Yuuji is great for these screenshots. His face is always so animated. He's gulping water just as the reporter asks some stupid question about whether or not he's nervous.. uhm.. duh..

TBS reminding you of today's proceedings. 98 up and 14 cleared!

Oh cool its Actor 森渉 Mori Wataru on the left - I blogged about him in August. He didn't get out of Trials though.

Nagano just laughs and Takeda is wondering what the reporter is smoking to ask him such a stupid question right before his run...

Nagano just smiles..

Yuuji's words to the reporter after stage 1 run are "it was close. Even more so than last time....I feel relieved/calm. 99 was daunting!" (thanks colindesu)

Time for pain.. In attendance to the ritual caning... are Yamada, Brian, Levi, Lee and Shingo. Overseeing the ceremony is Takeda.. as usual.. Nagano bows in observance..

Nagano knows he's going to get whacked after smacking the living crap out of Takeda earlier.. and remembers they didn't switch towels..

Yeah.. he felt that in his spleen...

Takeda looks back to see if Nagano took it like a man :p

Speaking of taking it like a man.. this is Nagano insanely testing the dismount of the Slider jump ON CONCRETE!! Dude needs his brain checked..

Oh for the love of everything holy.. they keep adding pressure.. I mean seriously.. I sucked the last time, the announcer was screaming for me to retire, they brought my family over and the kid is awake and alert, EVERYONE passed before me it would suck if I failed now, Yuuji is mounting pressure on me since he passed too and it would suck if I didn't, wow my back hurts.. stupid Takeda slapped me harder than usual.. I don't think I like those new red towels.. nice gesture but doesn't absorb impact at all..

Nagano endures the 45 minute announcer soliloquy about Poseidon coming from the Oceans to claim victory on land with his offspring in attendance to seize victory from the jaws of defeat.. blah blah blah.. you know.. Oh btw.. For those who care - His theme is now playing - "Last Battle" from X (TV Series) OST 2

Nagano is still waiting for the announcer to just STFU and let him do his run...

Crowd is going wild.. he just keeps turning over and bowing and smiling and bowing and smiling.. announcer still talking.. crowd roars again.. LOL

But first.. Smoking.. or Non-Smoking..

Oh hell.. Kunoichi looks retarded.. it reminds me of Takeshi's Castle now (er.. MXC for you in the West)..

Yuuji and Kanno's reaction was just priceless.. by far the best WTF faces ever recorded..

NO one expected that to happen.. especially with FIFTEEN people passing the first stage!

Yuuji's high pitched voice was at dog level.. "EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH?????????"

Yuuji's feeling it internally..

Kanno's too stunned to talk...

Never in a million years would I think a Levi reaction would actually make my highlight reel..

Usually he's as animated as a doorknob.. a common trait among a lot of the ANC competitors.. LMFAO

But Levi was downright priceless..

"OH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

LOL! Yep.. he cursed.. G4 is going to have a lot of bleeps in their broadcast...

And now for Wife's reaction.. Awww she hasn't noticed yet that Kaiou spit up his lunch..

Now for the record (as my friend Jason points out :p ) What I wrote in personal chat was not what I wrote on the boards on my reaction to this..

I was partially spoiled as to how Nagano did so THIS reaction was not at all what I anticipated.. I mean.. at all.. You'll see why in a second..

Nagano seemed to find something.. because clearly something was wrong.. usually at this point he's laughing out of embarrassment for screwing up big time.. but.. not this time..

He's CLEARLY pissed...

SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!!!!

Cut back to Takeda's face (you can tell how fast the reaction out Nagano was.. it was just seconds after the fall)

Dude.. something's way off...

And he sees it..

Takeda talking about him releasing too early..

Something pulled him back clearly...

Nagano tells him that something caught the bar?
You can hear the ANW guys say "that's BOGUS" in the background

Let's see that again..

Looking good so far...

He actually had the bars pretty straight this time.. none of this dancing around nonsense he did the last time

BOOM right there! See it? The bar just STOPPED like 3 feet from the end!

Noticing that this was far as the bar was going to .. he let go to try to get to the Jump Hang.

But clearly he was waaaaaay off ...

And was so far off he couldn't catch anything to hang on to

The bar is still resting at the last position.. well behind it's intended position..

Oh boy.. the safety rope that keeps a hold of the bar used got caught!

Yep.. it's wedged in there by the force of the pull..

Nagano is pissed.. as the guys go back to the start.

Remind me not to piss him off...

Flustered, angered and gipped.. he's is NOT a happy camper..

Announcer blabbing in the background about the severity of the situation, etc. etc..

Then all of a sudden.. He says something I can't understand that gets Takeda roaring in a fit of LAUGHTER

Nagano's still pondering the words but Takeda cannot help himself and he starts CACKLING

Yamada is unfazed.. but Takeda is just laughing up a storm. Nagano turns around with a big WTF face.. At this point you hear Shingo's voice also cackling..

I had to ask for a translation:
The announcer says, "長野．．．もう一度！．．．”
"Nagano... Mou ichido!..."
"Mou ichido" literally means "once more" or "once again".
So he basically just announced that "Nagano will try it again one more time!"
Due to the obvious wear and tear the first stage does to your body, Takeda and Shingo laugh at the ridiculous idea that he's going to try to do it yet again because they know how ridiculously impossible that would be.

Announcer says it twice.. Yamada cracks a smile.. Nagano is not laughing but Shingo and Takeda can't stop cackling..

Takeda still looking for Nagano to react to this absurd situation..

They look back to see if the Announcer is drunk...

Nagano just shakes his head in disbelief while laughter is still heard

Nagano's just .. wow.. Announcer is clearly out of his mind...

Kanno looking utterly hot right now.. despite the fugly goatee (I hate facial hair..) while Yuuji is talking about something I don't understand. That's okay I'm not paying attention to him anyway.. I'm heavily distracted at that incredible body that boy...

Kanno (and I) are still stunned.. while Yuuji can't believe the turn of events..
