As you all know I'm still fangirling from the teaser that came out the other day (thanks Nostalgia High School for the clips!).. well as expected.. the full commercial is out! Unlike the other one it's 50 seconds long and has mostly different clips.
Makoto Nagano 長野誠Here come the All-stars! They start off with the 2nd champion.. notice.. they don't show Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 in this clip.. at all.. a bit annoying since he's the current champion.. I guess the Japanese complaining about his shoes in the final (talk about sour grapes..) destroyed his image with the Japanese audience? That's horrible.. I think Yuuji is a great champion and deserved his win. EVERYONE changed shoes during Sasuke why should he be faulted for it? Gah.. sometimes I wonder if it's because it wasn't an All-Star winning...
Allstar - Makoto Nagano 長野誠TBS again.. doing everything they can to make this short guy look.. big.. LOL
All-Star Toshihiro Takeda 竹田敏浩I see he's slightly growing out his eyebrows.. dude .. go with it.. you look perfectly hot with normal manly eyebrows.. LOL (I'm sure I'm going to hear about he still looks hot now with his female eyebrows.. LOL)
All-Star Shingo Yamamoto 山本進悟.. wtf.. he's totally wearing a TUQUE!! Btw.. when I saw him I immediately thought of the Great White North Album where Geddy Lee asks Bob and Doug McKenzie why the camera guy didn't have a tuque.. (:42 in the video)

So it's the modified version of what was on Sasuke 23 Navi with a twist.. a rope that is on a rail that moves forward..

Obviously the guy failed.. but there is a mat they land on before tackling the ridiculous salmon ladder that we saw on the teaser.
And what seems like the last obstacle in the 3rd stage - a variation on Jumping bars with the pipe slider stick..
Definitely tester since it's daytime and a whole bunch of people watching along the edges.
The mere fact that TBS hasn't done everything in it's power to spoil this means no one got here.. LOL!!

What's the deal with Japanese people not liking Yuuji? That's news to me.
Read Ube's comment on the boards about what was in the TV Guides. Apparently people are complaining he had rubber shoes...
But he DOES look hot, even with the girlish eyebrows! :) BTW, I like the new page design!

LOL about him still being hot :) I mean.. he is but MAN I'd like it if he'd stop thinning it out.. I mean heck.. Nagano barely has eyebrows himself! We won't even discuss Akiyama.. he's so proud that he does it himself and doesn't have to pay someone LOL

I barely could breathe after watching the 10 seconds teaser...imagine my reaction when I saw this!
As somebody said on the boards, it looks like the 4-17 and Shin-Sasuke first stages had a baby lol. The only thing I don't like that much is the Log Grip being back. I'd have prefered the Jumping Spider. Let's hope they did put some kind of Spider Walk somewhere.
Oh and...I don't care 'bout their eyebrows, I still squeak every time I see Nagano, Takeda and Akiyama.
LOL at Shingo's cap v 2.0. Kidding, we know he's going to put the regular one when he runs :P
I don't know what to think of this Yuuji controversy.
He's proved he's good. I don't think the rubber boots helped him passing the three stages before. It's all about different approaches: the veterans use experience, the new kids rely on technique AND equipement. Not that All-Stars never changed shoes...heck.
The UNCLI guys and the STQ'ers work really hard, they deserve some respect.
I'm damn sorry for Yuuji...I admit it, I wish to no end that an All-Star achieved Kanzenseiha, but just think about how he's feeling now. Working that hard for years...now that he's done it, there's people spoiling it, TBS and M9 not doing anything to stop it, even putting up a whole "lost honor" thing...
Seriously, TBS. What. The. F**k.
P.S. I also don't like that they put up a Yuuji vs. Nagano thing...we know they both don't want to be egainst each other.Not in that way.
Can't wait till Sunday! I noticed Shingo's new hat. And the sunglasses on top. I thought those looked like swim goggles, LOL! I'm glad to see the Rolling Log and Jump Hang back. I always liked those. Looks like the first stage is going to be somewhat easier. Looking forward to Sunday!
What's wrong with rubber shoes? Can't the contestants wear whatever footgear they want?

Oh I agree with you guys that it's ridiculous about the shoes controversy.. TBS and M9 could have squashed it immediately but they seem to go the low road and drag him through the coals for the sake of ratings.. /sigh.. I hope he knows we thought his victory was magnificent and friggin 7-8 years in the making!!! Grats Urushihara and I hope they give him respect!
LOL Tiger on the swim goggles! AT first I thought he was going anime with aviation goggles.. then I stopped the video and did a screenshot and noticed his sunglasses.. Funny.. everything I've ever heard was that no Japanese wears sunglasses (because they don't want to be mistaken for Yakuza).. EVERY All-star has been pictured Sunglasses.. LMFAO!!!!

I'm a bit disgusted with the treatment of Yuuji, to be honest. Yeah, he wore rubber soles to the final stage for better grip. It's called strategy. If he wasn't disqualified for it, why make it a big deal?
And ugh...Yukio is in. Well, at least we don't have to deal with him cackling at his brother failing on an obstacle he couldn't even get to.

I love the new blog design, Elsie! I haven't seen some of those pics. The one of Shingo with his back to the camera, one that I think is from BUG in MIKI, the one of Bunpei doing the arm rings, and a couple that are from the Maguro festival. Where'd you get those. They don't look like screenshots.

Joe...yes, he is. Basically, they are saying that because his sneakers or whatever had a firmer grip on the rope ladder, it gave him an unfair advantage. Because, you know, he totally wasn't in shape for kanzenseiha.
Love your site's new look. The pictures are always crisp and full of eye candy. You know I think Takeda would look good no matter what, even if he shaved his head and wore a sack for a shirt.

I had to change the format again Chaki. The new draft blogger option to change templates doesn't show in any other browser but Firefox.. so I had to remove the picture background I had.. Hope this works now!
