This is Part 2 of Sasuke Navi the 1 hour preview show for Sasuke 25. Part 1 of Navi had a mixture of participants who arrived via Sasuke Trials which was held on February 14, 2010. Now they are showing all 47 prefectures of Japan and showing how many participants from each are in Sasuke 25. Time for geography class again!
All the way to the north near the Arctic circle is the Hokkaidō 北海道 region of Japan and it's lone Prefecture of Hokkaidō 北海道 with 3 representatives
Heading south from Hokkaido is the Tōhoku 東北地方 region. The prefectures and their representatives are as follows: Aomori 青森県 with 1 representative, Iwate 岩手県 with 1 representative, Miyagi 宮城県 with 1 representative, Akita 秋田県 with 1 representative, Yamagata 山形県 with 2 representatives and Fukushima 福島県 with 1 representative
Continuing south is probably the most familiar regions of Japan simply because it's home of Tokyo. This is the Kantō 関東地方 region of Japan. The prefectures in this region are: Ibaraki 茨城県 with 1 representative, Tochigi 栃木県 with 3 representatives, Gunma 群馬県 with 2 representatives, Saitama 埼玉県 with the most representatives at 8, Chiba 千葉県 with 2 representatives, Tokyo 東京 with 7 representatives and Kanagawa 神奈川県 with 5 representatives.All-Star Shingo Yamamoto 山本進悟 is from Tokyo and All-Star Bunpei Shiratori 白鳥文平 (who is not participating today) is from Chiba.
Heading further south and west is the Chūbu 中部地方 region of Japan. The Prefectures in this area are: Niigata 新潟県 with 2 representatives, Toyama 富山県 with 1 representative, Ishikawa 石川県 with 1 representive, Fukui 福井県 with 1 representative, Yamanashi 山梨県 with 1 representative, Nagano 長野県 with 1 representative, Gifu 岐阜県 with 1 representative, Shizuoka 静岡県 with 3 representatives and Aichi 愛知県 with 4 representatives.
Continuing south of Japan we are in the Kansai 関西地方 region. The Prefectures here are: Mie 三重県 with 2 representatives, Shiga 滋賀県 with 1 representative, Kyoto 京都府 with 4 representatives, Osaka 大阪府 with 4 representatives, Hyōgo 兵庫県 with 1 representative, Nara 奈良県 with 1 representative and Wakayama 和歌山県 with 1 representative.
Continuing south is the Chūgoku 中国地方 region of Japan (that's the top part of this picture). The Prefectures in this region are: Tottori 鳥取県 with 1 representative, Shimane 島根県 with 2 representatives, Okayama 岡山県 with 1 representative, Hiroshima 広島県 with 2 representatives and Yamaguchi 山口県 with 1 representative.and the Shikoku 四国 region (which is the bottom section of this picture) has the following Prefectures: Tokushima 徳島県 with 1 representative, Kagawa 香川県 with 3 representatives, Ehime 愛媛県 with 1 representative and Kōchi 高知県 with 1 representative.
The last 2 regions are at the south of Japan. The picture at the top is the Kyūshū 九州 region of Japan with the following prefectures: Fukuoka 福岡県 with 1 representative, Saga 佐賀県 with 2 representatives, Nagasaki 長崎県 with 1 representative, Kumamoto 熊本県 with 2 representatives, Ōita 大分県 with 1 representative, Miyazaki 宮崎県 with 2 representatives and Kagoshima 鹿児島県 with 1 representative.The last section at the bottom is a string of islands almost to Taiwan.. this is the Okinawa 沖縄県 region of Japan. It's lone prefecture of Okinawa 沖縄県 has 2 representatives.
Phew.. now that THAT is over.. we are back to Sasuke 25 sign in!! (Cough February 20, 2010)
For the first time the contestants pick up an additional saddlecloth to place with their numbered saddlecloth. The red indicates region (prefecture or country in the case of foreigners).
Either way this is the home of Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 (UNCLI #3) - Shoe salesman for the Haruta Shoes
This apparently is the celebration at a restaurant on his victory.

Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 lives with his Mother (which is very common in Japan I'm reminded) Her name is Takako 孝子(thanks David K. for translation)
Aww this is sad.. This is the father of Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治. He died 24 years ago (When Yuuji was 7 years old) . Apparently Yuuji seems to be an only child.
Aww.. that's sad. Yuuji's father died of cancer so he lives and supports his mother in his father's absence.

And because he knows TBS/M9 is uberly sadistic in possibly bringing back an old obstacle like the body prop.. our boy is NOT taking chances .. LOL I like his style :)

I missed Navi so I appreciate the recap. LOVED that last Nagano family shot! Okuyama and Takahashi families are pretty darn cute. Oh and the Hashimoto one is sweet too!
And thanks for pointing out the injustice to Yuji for the lack of attention. He is an awesome champion, must have gave up lots of dream without a dad. So happy he found Sasuke.
Very much agreed on the Yuuji thing. It's a shame though because he is very good and deserving of just as much attention as everyone else.
