The Sasuke Spirit (Video)

"The Sasuke Spirit" is a small tribute to Sasuke All-Stars whom I honestly feel embody the spirit of Ninja Warrior that I fell in love with. It's a little bittersweet but this is how I feel today about the whole experience. Nothing will ever change my feelings for them. I hope I did an okay job in trying to convey that.

Holiday Fun 2014 - ElfYourself!

ElfYourself Sasuke Style!

Soooooo.. yeah. Not since 2008 have I come up with something goofy for the holidays! I blame a Vlogger (Dael Kingsmill) whom I frequent often for giving me the idea. I mean.. I've seen it before in previous years.. but brain started thinking about it after I saw her video. I thought of redoing the old 12 days of Sasuke from 2008 but this was much simpler.

And yes there's only 5 of them since that's all the website would allow and since I'm not a Yamada fan.. well.. he had to go! Mwahahahhahaah ehem. Enjoy! Oh! Btw as a reminder Sasuke 30 reairs on January 3rd with new footage and an announcement! I'll see what gets added to the program and will blog on the additions. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sasuke Emotions - My next Sasuke Tribute

Back in August I did my first Video on YouTube in tribute to Sasuke. I had a lot of very nice comments and was very happy people enjoyed it! I was however frustrated with the Windows Movie Maker. This time was no different. The music track kept slipping and every time I tried to edit midway through the video to try to synch it with the music it was like performing surgery.. with no anesthesia.. The ending I had to guess at in a few places where the music cuts would end up.. I chose Sasuke 21 and Sasuke 22 footage since it's by far the best quality video I own out of all the Sasuke's... at least until Monster 9 finally releases a compilation of all Sasukes to date on DVD.. /sigh.. a girl can dream.

Quite frankly I have no idea how on Earth I got my hands on this piece. Must have been off a torrent.. cough.. GIFT from someone.. First off .. aaaaaaanyway.. I've had this on my Zen for a while now and for some reason I kept thinking of Sasuke everytime I heard it. My brain just works that way. I think the other day I was talking to a friend of mine saying that I was so distressed that my life goal of becoming a film editor never did pan out thanks to my health issues. Aaaaaaanyway.. the song is called "Maestro" by Hans Zimmer. It's from a movie I've never heard of, or seen or plan to see.. I will however get the soundtrack eventually. I love Hans Zimmer and I own plenty of Soundtracks to movies I can't stand or have never watched :p

Either way.. I did this partly because I really love this show.. and thanks to the interview with Nagano.. I'm a little worried we might not see a Sasuke 23.. In the meantime I'm happy JET TV announced their Sasuke 22 showing (May, 2009 in Taiwan) and also in May is a string of appearances of All-Stars and past competitors to Muscle Park (including Katsumi Yamada, Shingo Yamamoto and Toshihiro Takeda on both the 2nd and the 5th) in celebration of Golden Week. This weekend is also Maguro Festival :)

12 days of Sasuke - All-Star Edition - My Christmas Tribute

Waaaaaaaaay back in like friggin' August my friend Tricia gave me a great idea to blog about since I was getting lost in the Sasuke Maniac and the upcoming Sasuke 21 deluge. She figured I'd enjoy doing something just goofy and fun and she was right! Only thing was.. after Sasuke 21.. I was totally bogged with overload then I wanted to wait for Ninja Warrior 21 to see if there was anything worth adding (since the Shinji thing was in the post show in Ninja Warrior 20).. but no such luck.. and I certainly didn't want to add anymore airtime to that dopey Olivia so here it is in all it's glory.

I will do my best to remember where I got half these photos from. The newer ones are super easy to remember, and of course the screenshots but forgive me if I screw up some copyrights.. brain is kinda wonky this week with the concussion LOL. Singing is not required and half the photos I picked didn't make the list.. but hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together! Again massive thanks to all those who helped contribute and to Tricia for coming up with a totally fab idea! :D Thanks to Ube (whom I miss...) for always coming up with comical anecdotes with our favorite crazy obstacle course in Japan :p
