Sasuke Rising (28) Spoilerific Review - Part 8

Sasuke spoilerific review ;) Warning.. incoming blog of Sasuke 28.. if you don’t want to know.. you have been warned :D (Just remember.. the USA Broadcast of this.. will be.. well never possibly.  I don't know if we will ever see it.. Yes.. you read that right.. Now with the death of G4 official and NBC not giving a damn about Sasuke Japan.. we may never see Sasuke Rising on US television (or any overseas country for that matter unless everyone buys the original 3 1/2 hour broadcast from TBS). After that depressing end to the All-Stars.. how about we tackle the Second Stage?

① ^Cross Slider クロススライダー

Note those 2 padded things.. you have to prop your body like a cross (thus the name)

slide down and land on this mat at the end of the moat

Moving right to left on the screen

From here you get the ② *Swap Salmon Ladder スワップサーモンラダー 

Rider's right on this.  As you go up the rungs (jumping from one set of rings to the other) the notches above pop out.

That also explains why you couldn't just "Keita" up the higher rungs.. because they would have not been exposed yet without landing on the opposite rungs to trigger the mechanism.

③ *Unstable Bridge アンステーブルブリッジ  

Note that it's "modified".. they nerfed this one to only have the first plank (the easy one with 4 chains). I'd be shocked if anyone missed this...

④ *Spider Walk スパイダーウォーク  

Also an older obstacle.. personally I like this obstacle.

⑤ ^Backstream バックストリーム 

The one everyone is talking about.. yes.. you have to swim through it.. no other way around it.

⑥ ^Passing Wall パッシングウォール  

Note that the middle wall opens sideways...

Second Stage time to beat is 135 seconds.

Mental note.. I'd fail.. I can't swim!

I can hear a collective brick coming from various nether regions right now..

Koki Someya 染谷幸喜 in his 1st appearance in the Second Stage.

Kazuma Asa 朝一眞 making his 2nd appearance in the Second Stage.

Ryo Matachi (Cliffer #2) 又地諒 making his 2nd appearance in the Second Stage.

Hitoshi Kanno 菅野仁志 making his 5th appearance in the Second Stage

2-Time Grand Champion Yuuji Urushihara 漆原裕治 (Cliffer #3) - making his 6th appearance in the Second Stage

Btw at some point in this stage he remarks that this is unusual because he thought the whole point of Sasuke was staying dry.. LOL

Okie dokie!  Reminder there are 5 people from 100 into the 2nd Stage.

Strange that they have to start with goggles..

So.. this exchange is interesting..

The two Cliffers are discussing how long you it will take to do certain obstacles and still finish on time.. so.. 70 seconds?

 Kanno can't help but laugh at the obsession to details..

So maybe take no more than 30 seconds on it?

Meanwhile Sasuke Pants is up!

Words cannot explain how awkward this looks..

Hmm takes a little bit of time to finally push off. Seems it's manually let go.

and he lands nicely

and about to jump to the 2nd rung.. when we go to commercial..

Fark.. we got news brief now.. groaaaaaan I forgot about these.. 

So magically we are back at the start line.

okay he got to the 2nd rung.

Safely back across and turning around for the next one

YES!  And got the top rung!

and easily past the plank.. if he failed this I would have been worried..

aaaaand up the spider walk..

and I KNEW I saw him clearly in the commercials :)

This is just.. weird.. 

man this looks like a hot mess.. he rams right into some rubber padding and into the first wall.

Soaked to the bone.. probably getting hypothermia and as he's sliding he has to raise a wall..

manages to get under it..

God this is weird!!!!!

and the last wall seems the same as before.

and we have a clear!

The crowd is sedate.. not because they don't like him.. it's because they aren't sure wtf they just witnessed LOL

hey I can't knock him.. I can't swim at all.. but still.. this is eating all kinds of time..

Finally across.. and slowly getting out of the water tank..

hey they took out that long padded strip that Asa crashed into!

Wow he's having all sorts of problems with the walls...

hearing the klaxon blaring he panics and drops the wall!

Now he's trying to SHOVE his body underneath! I HATE when he does that..

He got stuck under there!

Ryo can't believe his luck..

They cannot believe Ryo failed THAT second stage...

Dude.. wtf..

And now nauseous.. there goes his plans of pacing..

and that's what happens when you plan out how long you can take between obstacles..

And THIS is the main reason why he failed.  Wasted waaaaay to much time.. that's a Yamada fail if I ever saw it.  The only thing missing was tape on his hands..

 Hmm if the conversation was about the backstream and how much time it should eat.. I'm worried for Yuuji's run..

I love Ryo.. but if he passed without properly lifting the wall I would have reamed him..

and had the most wtf fail on the Double Salmon Ladder that no one has ever duplicated.

Finally out of the water.. 

No padding either at the end.

 some small issues with the wall but passes it fine

Zero issues with the middle wall which is a joke..

LOL it's so dark you can't see Ryo.  Considering how much light is flooding the stage.. you'd think they'd move some to the gallery so you can see better!

Lots of complaining about freezing!

and more wasting time with interviews of people who never watched the show talk about crap they don't know.. oh well..

and everyone seems like they just want to either sleep or eat..

because seriously.. sitting there for 3 hours watching a show you already witnessed and participated live.. has to be boring.. especially with no munchies!!
